I'd rather see Collins in for Reid with Tomkins at RB for the moment.

Jenkinson's confidence has looked a little shot, but too many people on here writing him off too quickly for me. Think he can be important off the bench for us and once Slav's got him believing again, our 3 man midfield should really suit our full backs, both better in attack than defence.

With you there OneMc

A positive to be taken from all these injuries is the players coming will know that they have a chance to cement a place in the team for a good while.

Jenkinson, 2nd chance but know's a poor performance will probably allow Collins or Oxford to come in and Tomkins move back to right back.

Noble,Song,Kouyate. Obiang and to a lesser extent Cullen are breathing down their necks. Would especially like to see Cullen get some minutes in as replacement for Kouyate at some stage in a game.

Antonio. Had a good run against Manu. More game time and his confidence will grow. Has a few games to show what he's about.

Zarate,Carroll. With Valencia returning these 2 have to keep up their performances. A goal for Carroll is needed and to dominate against Shawcross is in order.

I'll have the following subs.

Randolph.
Oxford
Collins
Obiang
Cullen
Valencia
Jelavic

Oh to be three nil up. Seems like an age ago when we could score three goals.

The team MAC put up.

Replace the Liability with Obiang after 65.

Like to see oxford get a go at CB when we're 3-0 up and coasting.

Man City were very poor but Stoke helped make them look it. And having watched the game, the didn't look either defensive nor average to me.

Not sure how much the likes of Shaqiri turn it on for the bigger sides but if they play anything like they did last weekend, we're going to have to defend very well down our left-hand side. I hope Zarate gets primed to put a shift in to help out Cresswell.

The one good thing about our current injury crisis, as you and I have long agreed on here, is the move to 3 in the midfield. We look so much better and more confident with the extra cover for our defence. The return of Song compensates to some degree for the loss of Payet's creativity. It's going to be interesting to see whether he puts in Collins or Jenkinson now Reid's injured. I'd go for Collins for the moment but would love to see Jenkinson get his confidence back. Our full-backs should be the first to benefit from the revised shape.

We can beat these, for sure, but Slav is going to have to really earn his corn here.

and people are pissing themselves on how they played against a poor Man City.

Stoke are an defensive, average side and no match for us if Bilic picks the right side and shape and we play to our ability.

Re: Team v Stoke
They are solid in defence and have creativity up front. It's gonna be a tough game

That said, we should have won at old Trafford - we had 4 clear opportunities to score. Same level of performance should be enough

We can't be any worse than we were in this fixture last year...

like it other than Antonio in place of jenks

ps all these injuries and still a decent line up which is good enough to beat stoke imo...also these players coming in will want to keep their places?
